Collaboration Bear: Mum and Bub - 8" handmade mohair artist kangaroo - OOAK

- a 'Collaboration Bear' ( Initiated by 'The bear lady at Forbes' - Joan Neowhouse, and completed in remembrance by Emma's Bears following her passing).

Collaboration Bears are a completely unique range of bears for Emma's Bears. They are an eclectic assortment of bears and animals in all shapes and sizes, and all types of fur, in various states of completion, and cut from patterns and designs that are totally unknown/unfamiliar to us. We've committed to completing these little souls after their original crafter passed away, and her family were unsure what should happen to all her unfinished work.

It was such a surprise to find pieces for a kangaroo in the box of collaboration bear bits. This little one even had a pouch as part of the design - once we figured out what was what! But there was no joey for the pouch - so we designed one ourselves.

'Mum' Kangaroo has been made in a soft, wavy light gold mohair, and 'Bub' has been made in a dense wheat coloured alpaca. Both Mum and Bub look out through black glass eyes, but Mum also features hand-sculpted eyelids with lashes for extra drama. They both have hand embroidered/sculpted noses in black DMC perle cotton and feature light Inktense shading. 

Mum is fully 5-way jointed, and Bub is 3-way jointed (his little head and both arms can move, but he is sewn in place, tucked inside the pouch). They are both stuffed with generous amounts of steel shot alongside soft polyfill. Mum wears a fully removable cotton bow-clip by her ear. 

These two are a one of a kind artist piece and come with their Emma's Bears /Collaboration Bears identification tag. The rest of their friends can be found in their own listings.
